Shortly after my wife and I got married in June 2022, we decided to foster with a local animal rescue. That's when Hank, a loving but timid one-year-old Chihuahua mix from a Texas shelter, entered our lives.
We knew Hank had been through a lot and wanted to ensure we did everything to make him feel at home and develop his confidence. As first-time dog parents, we were also nervous about fulfilling this responsibility and doing all the right things. However, as the weeks went by and the time came to decide whether to adopt him, we knew we couldn't let him go.
Hank was our boy, a part of our family, and our best friend. He is loved by all our friends and family, and he loves everyone back dearly. We are so grateful to have made the decision to adopt Hank and could not have hoped for a more perfect little boy.
