HOW WE DESIGN -- AND WHY

ALL FETCH EYEWEAR IS DESIGNED BY ANN SACKS

Fetch was founded by tile designer and entrepreneur Ann Sacks. After selling the tile company that still bears her name, Ann created Fetch Eyewear with the purpose of financially supporting the family nonprofit animal rescue and low income veterinary clinic, The Pixie Project (www.pixieproject.org).

WHY I DESIGN, AS TOLD BY ANN SACKS.

After almost forty years of designing tile and now eyewear I ask myself this very question!

How does a junior high school teacher / social worker end up designing things that people want to live with and to wear?

What will be lasting and what will be fleeting?

How much is this process about YOU rather than about me?

In the end it is about watching people and how they seem to create an identity around the things that they choose.

Not ready to step out with full on "retro" frames? FETCH focuses for you on classics that are beautifully crafted and attract attention for their solidly good design and "made to flatter" fit.

Ready to embrace color? Our job is to make sure that for everyone from strawberry blond to brunette the absolutely right color is there for you.

In short I think about people that I see day to day and how I might help them take one tiny step further toward loving their glasses rather than just wearing them.

And that means that on any given "design day" you can see me at my kitchen table with piles of gorgeous materials saying to myself, "I love this and I hope that others will too!"
